The 717 Model is a very versatile step-up for waves between 4-8 feet.
It has foam pushed forward for ease of paddling and a lower rail for extra bite in the tube. It has a continuous rocker with a tad extra nose lift to accomodate for those steeper waves and to help avoid nose-diving.
With a single to double concave, this board also performs really well on the open face.
I recommend riding this 4” longer than your normal shortboard and about an 1/8” narrower.
The quad setup feels amazing in this board! However, it can be ridden as a quad or a thruster.
